The Instrument Panel, for anyone who hasn’t seen a small airplane before.
Brad(my co-pilot for the trip) & I before departure.

Doing our run-up and holding short Runway 22, before takeoff.

It was a gorgeous day.

Robeson County Airport, where we stopped for a soda and to stretch our legs.

For my dutchie friends.

Beautiful scenery below

In a climb, I would guess about 3000ft.

It looked like a heart!

4500ft. Our cruising altitude on the way to ATL. We came back at 7500ft. It was the perfect day for flying.

Downtown Atlanta, while being vectored around by ATC.

Finally! Landing in Atlanta Hartsfield!!!!! We only had to change frequencies about 100 times and talk to a million people, but we were finally cleared to land runway 26R. We had a citation behind us, so we were being pushed in fast.

One of the ground crew guys at Atlantic Aviation that met us and tied down the aircraft.

Our car and driver that Atlantic Aviation had waiting for us. The driver was hilarious. He was awesome.

FINALLY!!!!! Getting Ingo out of his GINORMOUS crate. He was to big to fit in a plastic kennel. I knew there was no way I could fit this thing in the airplane, so we ditched the (175 euros!!!) wooden crate.

YAY! YAY! YAY! He is here!!!

Come on out Ingo!

Peeling the sticker off his crate.

Putting the sticker on HIM….for ID purposes of course. Haha…

Lets make sure it sticks good. LOL.

C’mon Lady, hurry up! I gotta go!
Texting Elly and Ron to let them know he is safe and I have him!

“Are you my driver???”

Welcome to America Ingo! We drive Cadillac’s here

The FBO was SOOOOOOO nice. They took us to Starbucks and we just sat inside in the pilots lounge and relaxed awhile. Ingo was SO well behaved, everyone wanted to pet him and he got LOTS of treats!
Outside Atlantic Aviation, about to depart.

Back at the airplane… Are you ready Ingo??

The aircraft was taken into maintenance before we departed that morning. They took the back seat out so that Ingo would have plenty of room to lay down. He pretty much got the Royal treatment. LOL.
“Where we goin???”

“Okay, well I guess I will just lay down and go to sleep like a good boy” (Which he did! He was SO good…)

“Just wanted you to know that I can still nose poke you through the seats” haha.

Anderson Co. Airport, where we stopped on the way home for fuel. AvGas was $7 a gallon in Atlanta! We got 20 gallons there, then topped off here.

“You guys ready yet??? Let’s get this show on the road!”

“HELLOOOOOO……LETS GO!”

“Dis is my airplane and I make the rules!”

YAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! HOME AT LAST!!!!!

He wasted NO time settling right in…

It was an awesome trip…I am so glad he made it finally.
TOMORROW IS THE DAY!!!

Ingo will arrive in the United States in less than 24 hours. By this time tomorrow, we will be home!
He has his “Camo” collar (gift from my dad) waiting for him, and his special paco collar should be here anytime.

Photos coming soon… :)
Let the countdown begin…

Only 5 more days until Ingo arrives! I will fly to Atlanta to pick him up. His crate is to big to fit on the small puddle jumper aircraft coming from Atlanta to Raleigh that afternoon, so I either had to go pick him up in Atlanta or have him stay overnight in the airport kennels and catch a flight out the next morning.
That was pretty easily decided…He is NOT staying in an airport kennel overnight. No way.
Thanks to my friends at Tradewind Aviation, Ingo will have his own little airplane to transport him from Atlanta to North Carolina. I guess you could say he is spoiled already
haha. He is lucky his new mommy is a pilot and has lots of friends with airplanes and stuff, eh?
I am excited, Counting down the days…
This has been in the works a LONG time, and it is finally happening! YAY!
