Merry Christmas…from Brownie.

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Getting in the Christmas Spirit and all….. (heheheheh….I am so mean)

Brownie - 9 months old.

Okay seriously, tell me he doesnt look like a reindeer?

“Yeah, reindeer….”

Fuzzy….but this is kind of what happens when you show Brownie a ball. He also brings them back this way….slamming into your stomach and almost knocking you over. (This is my friend in the photo)

“Did someone say TENNIS BALL?”

Showing his true colors…

GOT. TO. GET. BALL.

“Crap, I missed it”

“On Dasher, On Dancer, On Prancer……”

Showing his reindobe self….

Such a handsome boy. He has a way of making himself look sweet. (Do not let it fool you)

“Momz….I tired.”

“OMG…………NO MOM……I cant wear this!”

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

“This is the only shot your getting so you better hurry up”

“Does this tennis ball make me look any more manly?”

Proof he loves me….

“It’s cool….I make red with fluff look goooooood”

“ahhhhhhhhhhhhh….freedom at last”

and…Ziris earned her BH!

Sunday, December 7th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

So at about 11 pm last night, I decided what the hell…and brought Ziris today. She is in standing heat, and hasnt been trained recently…but thats okay right?

She passed her BH today under SchH USA judge Mike Caputo. It was not pretty, she pretty much passed by the hair on her chinny chin chin…but…she passed.

I knew going into it, that we still needed alot more reps and practice, but I guess the stars were in my favor today.

After the 3 days of funerals/memorials this week, and the two days of trials this weekend I am totally exhausted. Tommorrow is going to be a day of rest and relaxation.

Lacey was there again and I am sure got some great photos. (We took some of Ziris with her medal too ) Rommel got a medal, but since I didnt bring him today we didnt get photos. They passed them out at the end. Guess I should have brought him…oh well…I can get some photos of them together with their little medals this week sometime.

BTW - Thanks Lace for all your support and great photos this weekend!

Ready?

Two of the times she was actually paying attention!

She had a great recall!

With her medal… (This is the first time I have ever gotten a cool medal for a BH!)

By herself…

Rommel BH (x2)

Saturday, December 6th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Rommel earned his 2nd BH today. (Yes, you read that right….his SECOND) His first BH I did when he was 15 months and 2 days old. He passed then also.

I wasnt planning on trialing this weekend. I have been with my friend who just lost her daughter and I have not been to training in about 2 weeks. Rommel just wasnt ready for the OB1 (dumbells just not there yet).

They had 9 BH’s today, so when they started the first pair, I ran home and grabbed rommel and said what the hell…the worst he can do is screw up. It will be great experience for us both and great to get a critique from yet another judge. Plus, that would make an even amount of dogs, and they wouldnt have to do a round robin.

Rommel made me proud. He passed his second BH today under USA Judge Mike Caputo, who had nothing but good things to say about him. When he said his heeling was EXCELLENT I just got a huge smile on my face, because I have worked so hard on it, and this judge does not sugar coat anything. His motion excersizes were excellent except the sit out of motion, which was a high very good, because the dumb handler (me) took to MANY steps in the buildup. He said that took an excellent excersize down to a high very good because of the steps. I always do more, (just in case!) because I thought more was okay, but not enough was bad. Learn something new everytime!

Rommel has always had a very solid long down, and after a minute or so of being there he said that he focused on me the whole time. That made me happy also. It is always nice to have good attention from your dog.

Some photos of me and Rommel (who just turned 3 in November)

Photos of me and Rom (Thanks to Lacey -K9Jarko on here for the Photos!!!)

And he was swarmed by kids after exiting the field….
